Never park in a parking bay for the disabled - unless you are disabled

* Donate by mail - simply print the donor form, print it out, and the send us the completed form together with your cheque or money order.

Mobiliti does not require a lot of regular volunteers, but from time to time we do require assistance:

• be a volunteer at one of our fundraising events - send us an e-mail to register your name

• IT savvy? We are looking for a volunteer to help us prepare a monthly newsletter to our passengers.

• Do you have some free time, Monday - Friday during normal office hours? Some of our passengers require assistance and are looking for volunteers to accompany them on journeys - send us an e-mail giving us details of the times you would be available.

You have been driving round the shopping complex car park for 5 minutes looking for a space. It's very full. Suddenly you see a place and it's close to the lifts. But it is marked Disabled Only. You think to yourself. "I'm only going to be 30 minutes. I hardly ever see a disabled person park there anyway. What difference will it make"

It will make a huge difference. If a disabled driver is unable to park in a space wide enough to allow him/her to get out either with wheelchair or crutches and close enough to ramps and lifts to enable him/her to access the building they might just have to turn round and go home.

So please NEVER, NEVER park in a disabled parking space.
